I agree. That and the delusions of grandeur it seems to incite.

they had a couple of new vmaxes at the yamaha exhibit at bike week, one was bone stock at $17999, the other had all the vstar goodies on it customized from the factory at $29999. they are sharp bikes for sure, but the price range is out of my league and truthfully after sitting on one the seat is too close to the handlebars, it is a short man's bike. i am 6' 2" and the seat hump cramped my riding position. i guess it would be comfortable enough to go bar hopping....its intended purpose.

I don't believe for one second that was with a stock Vmax. Dale or pee wee couldn't get it into the 9's and they know how to ride.

It wasn't stock .. It had the race ECU and air filter pulled ....If it didn't have those mods it would have run 10s like dale and peewee..

thing traps like a pig considering the fact that it was at Atco where the air is awesome. If it was at my track it would have ran 6.90's-7.0's if that.

Just the Race ECU. Which does nothing other than to get rid of the speed limiter of 143. The bike only gained 7hp with the race ecu due to the fact they dyno'ed it in 5th gear rather than 4th so the bikes 8000rpm speed limiter was remomoved thus allowing the bike to make it's peak hp. When the bike was at the track it never saw 5th gear and the filter was not removed. On another note Pee Wee never raced the bike I have the article only Dale did. There are a few other guys who have run there bikes in the 10.2-10.5 second area the lightest guy being 205 and the heaviest guy being 296. They both said they had traction issues and there bike has no racing ecu and is stock. The bike is a 9 second capable bike for sure stock.

I thought the bike also had a soft limiter, not just the speed limiter? Does the ecu affect that?
