Does anybody knows if the trick to get the 8 horsepower by doin a bridge on the cables
like it shows on the topic of the top. that its gives 8 horses.
Does that works also on the ninja 2006 OR only the 2007???\
if anybody knows please let me know am trying to do it to my bike but mine its a 2006
plus i already have the power commander on mine is it going to affect the power commander if i do that to the bike. do i have to remap my power commander.???

EIGHT HP on a 600? Wow thats a lot. If it had that from off the showroom floor the critics may not have slammed Kawi 6R from being underpowered and going from 636 back to 600

Yeah Steve thats right dude. Here in South Africa we have that 8hp straight off the showroom floor and thats why I keep saying that the CBR and zx6 are MUCH closer than you have been saying. We don't have the hectic regulations here that you guys have hence the extra power.

The shoot outs that happen here put the CBR and zx6 very close but the CBR still takes top spot due to the low and mid torque and ease of use on the street but the zx6 wins in handling, brakes, gearbox and as a trackbike. Oh and off course the HUGE price difference between the 2 here. The honda is alot more expensive and you definitely get better bang for your buck on the zx6.

I think the new R6 for '08 will throw a spanner in the works this year. But '09 we have a new zx6 coming... should be an interesting year next year.

Oh and for '09 I don't think Kawi will give the 6 more low end torque to compete with the CBR... they like to make revvy bikes with power higher up. Evident over the past years, in the 10 as well.

Still love my 6 hey... keep those revs up and let the adrenalin flow

That brings me to another point actually... why does Kawi always go overboard with the emissions on their bikes. They always have the heaviest exhausts and cats... My 6 has got a resonator in the belly pan as well as the pipe up high... The resonator houses the cats so you can't even eliminate them with a slip on and because of the resonator a slip on barely holds any advantage except sound and weight which apparently improves handling even more.

So because of these crazy exhausts that come out stock on the bikes they are almost always heavier than the models they replace even tho the bike itself is actually lighter. This reflects negatively on the bikes and usually the bikes get slated for gaining weight rather than losing weight.

Sure I know that the pipes almost always get replaced and the manufacturers know this too... maybe I'm dreaming here but it does seem like Kawi go overboard with emissions... I mean why is the zx6 8hp down in America and the CBR isn't... thats a HUGE blow to the bike before its even released!!!
