07 ZX6R Rear Brake resevouir relocation

Hey Guys,

I got tired of looking at the rear brake reservoir just hanging there, so I found a nice place for it. It took me about three hours to do it, but the end result was worth it. It is mounted on the left side of the sub frame just behind the gas tank. It is a nice, clean and level installation, no restrictions just perfect. If you any questions, I will try to answer them.

That looks fantastic! Very clean and tidy. However, the hose looks very close to the exhaust pipe. ?? Could be a problem.
Thanks for sharing your pics and info!

Hello there,

Yes, from that angle it looks like is very close to the pipe. However, it's a litle bit over an 1.0" from it. It does come in contac with the shield, but I don't think it will be a problem, the hose it self is shielded as you can see in the picture, but to make sure I will add a insulator to the hose. To access the reservoir, I just need to remove the seat.

Great Job

I see tho that you shorted the tubing and all. I agree that the tubing doesn't go near enough to cause any problems...

I've been running with mine like this pretty much since I got my bike.

I however didn't shorten the tubing and I used the bracket that was originally used to hold the res and it only took me 20 minutes. Mine however leans over and sits right up under the seat... neither of which is a problem
