Underseat Jumper confirmed on 07
Today I took my brand new 2007 ZX-6R to DynoMasters in Chattanooga TN, which is a certified tuning center for the sole purpose of checking the underseat jumper wire. The bike is 100% stock other than the 200 mile oil change and it had pump gas from the local mini market.
Mark, the dyno owner and operator loaded the bike on the dynojet 250 and ran 3-4 runs back to back to get a good baseline. Then we lifted the seat and using a wire connector we did the mod as shown above and ran it 3-4 more times.
WOW. I am always a skeptic of these internet rumors but this one is true. Not only did it pick up 5.5 or slightly more peak hp. Now peak comes at about 14k instead of 12,300 as stock. The whole top end of the curve is shifted up from about 12k on.
While not quite as high as the 7-8 hp some were reporting it is still a huge gain for free. Next I will do the powercommander and full exhaust and go back to DynoMasters to re-check it then too.
So mark this down as internet myth CONFIRMED. The little Ninja is a screamer now for sure.

No power commander or Kawasaki ECU. YET. After talking with a few people and teams in the AMA series they are saying to just do the jumper then tune with a power commander. So I think that is my plan. The ECU is very $$ compared to Dynojet plus I want to do a quickshifter too.
I have the dyno graph so if one of you want to host it I can email it to you. I just dont know if I can store it somewhere and get it up online right.
List your email if you can host it.

and furthermore...was told not by one but several certified kawi mechanics that it actually adds 10 HP to the '06 636! I had it done and we used a fuse as a connector as opposed to a wire and ....damn...once i hit 13K...this thing just takes off.....weeeeeeee....

Its crazy how the mags will hit the zx6 saying it doesn't even crack 100 hp...
now it does...
man, we are lucky here in South Africa not having to do that mod at all. I am however still concerned as to why the power drops off from 14500. I end up shifting at 14500 and rather keep the surge going.
