NinjaNick - you assume way too much. This is definately NOT a "penis" thing. I personally use a 600 for the track - I'm just stating what I observe from my personal experience. The 600's are NOT as good as the 1000's when used by an advanced or expert rider. There are many such riders that are NOT pro's that race on the track... just everyday guys with a good deal of experience under their belts. The 600's are great bikes to learn track skills on - for instance Keith Code uses them to teach their students (provided you pay the rental fee and don't use your bike) but stating that they are somehow "the masters of all" is just simply not true. Masters for learning on yes, masters for most riders on the track yes, masters for advanced and expert track riders - sorry bro - no. Maybe they will get there someday - maybe not. Seems to be a lot of motion in the 800 cc area... startlingly between the 600 and 1000 class. Also - some 1000 series bikes are just about as light as the 600s (my 1098 is 381 lbs dry) while some of the 600's are just about as powerful for track duty as the 1000's. It will depend on a combination of factors to determine where the future goes  . For now, enjoy what you have, but don't be insulting please.

Who's insulting? Not me, just going by what I'm reading. What you're typing can be translated the way I took it. I've read in other threads of you downing 600's and japbikes now that you have a 1098. The 1098 is a sweet bike. I don't want one, but it is a sweet bike. I would rather have a 10, because like you I'm biased. You're biased towards the ducati now and I'm biased towards ALL Kawasaki's. I will be purchasing a 14 soon too because I'm a big guy and the 600 is cramped. The 600 is a blast and much funner than the 14 on twisty roads, but the 14 is much more suited for street use and such. Will I be dogging 600's when I get it? Hell no! I just don't see why you feel like you have to argue about 600's and 1000's and which is faster on the track. If you can't win or nobody is agreeing with you, then why not just give up? It's a useless argument with some. I HONESTLY think the 1000's are faster bikes on the track with the same rider that uses a 600. But not in a BIG way. I agree with you yes, but why does it matter?

Also, how would you know I assume way too much? I've never spoken with you. I just translate what I'm getting from your post. I wasn't insulting either, I was stating my opinion on why you want to insult a 600 bike. I've met guys who have ridden over 20years and have a 600 bike. It's all in preference my man, all in preference.
I just don't get why other sportbikers argue about other sportbikes!? Save your breath for fucking Harley POS's! Harleys SUCK DONKEY ASS!

I have ridden for over 20 years and I still ride a 600 at the track. The penis comment was certainly insulting. I also ride a 636, zx-12 a ducati and yes, on occassion a harley. . I do believe based on my personal observations that 600's do fair better for new and intermediate riders. Not meant as an insult - just what I've observed at the track. Form your own opinions and agree to disagree I guess, but I think if you spend enough time at the track you will see what I am saying. No disrespect at ALL to the 600's - I like them for the track - but they are NOT as fast as the 1000's for the advanced/expert riders that I ride with and observe at the track. Hell - stay on a 600 forever if thats what you like - its a great bike and it will serve you well.

BTW - I still LOVE my zx-12, CB-750F Super Sport and I'm thinking about a new Ninja 600 (why I dropped by this part of the board - don't want to track the 1098 I don't think - too expensive to fix!!) =). I DONT hate jap bikes at all. Not sure where you got that from? I try to be as real as I can. if you read some of my older posts - read all of them. I have quite a few on the zx-12 board.

Haha, I gathered that you don't like jap bikes anymore by the time you argued with Steve in the 1098 forum about how superior it is over them. I didn't exactly mean HATE, so I should've worded it differently. Oh well, what's done is done.
I loved my '02 ZX12 I had btw.

whatever Steve. I try to keep it as honest as I can. If you view that as an ego thing - thats your perogative - perhaps YOU should apply this to yourself though, especially given your comments on the 1098 board and on the top of this thread.
