the new 6 sure does look nice. the black model is a change for you, but look snice! especially like how well they've blacked almost everything out, even the rearsets (short of the heel guard). hm, you may have to get those forks anodized like i did on the 12. didnt cost much, surprisingly.

very nice.

I love the pictures.... the black does look sharp!! Hope you like it 'cuz you know what they say... (lol) guess it'll be black from now on!

What's with the funky scratchy gas tank picture? I hope that's just dirt ??

I've put a fender elim. kit, tank pad, and have ordered frame sliders for my 6R.... the Redhead... . I'll post pics asap.

Boy I look at my '03 636 and the new '07 600 and I love them all. Damn the ninja is a sexy bike. 6 and 10.

I really like it - it is light and flicky.
But I have to wait until break in to really ride it - and yes, I try to follow the break in rules.
Kawasaki says that the first 500 miles/ 800 km Maximum engine speed is 4000 rpm
Which means I couldn't even go fast enough to take it on the freeway.

The next 500 - 1000 miles/ 800 - 1600 km the Maximum engine speed is 6000 rpm.

I know you don't want to do ALL of your first 500 miles on the freeway, the bike needs to work through the gears...but you would think that they would make it so that you could ride your bike on the freeway a little bit.
I have been better at keeping it around 5000 rpm and not over 6000....it is soooo hard because I want to RIDE my BIKE!!

I am really looking forward to using the slipper clutch and getting the new and improved suspension set up for me.

Oh yeah...I remember when I got my 636 back in the day PK, I saw that it was only 45mph at 4,000rpm...haha. So I kept it at 6,000 for the first probably 200miles, then went balls to the wall. I couldn't hack the waiting anymore. It's a drug and I need it.

I know what you mean - it's driving me crazy....it's like having an itchy spot you can't scratch!

Thanks - it is a good looking bike, isn't it?
Next to the Ducati it has a lot more plastic on it - but Kawasaki did a good job and after Fish_Antlers did the wire mod and got me 8 more horses for free - it is going to be a kick ass bike.

I actually looked at buying a bike OTHER than a Kawasaki, but I came back because I really liked the look.

"Next to the Ducati" on the race track I bet any amount of $$$ it'll run faster lap times with the same rider too

I should of waited a couple of months for the 6R but I was afraid it would be another ZX-14 wait, although I love the 06 636

You did good with your 636 choice Girlee Friend. That's an awesome bike!! Don't you go and "should" on yourself now

Your bike is going to carry excellent resale value too. Last of a mighty fine line!
I'm shopping a 636 for my Nephew in Reno right now... keep your eyes open for me
