New turbo installed
Chris Jones has installed a Garrett GT28 turbo kit on my '08 Connie. It has Carillo 9.5 forged turbo piston kit (engine was removed and completely tore down), beefed up cam chain tensioner, valve and clutch springs, wastegate, blowoff valve, PCIII, adjustable lowering links and sidestand, dyno tuned and exhaust to my dual CF Muzzies. Chris set the spring in the Tial wastegate to 7 psi boost for 230 hp. It Also has a Cooling Mist water/methanol injection system. I will use water for additional cooling most of the time and add 50% methanol and use a front end lowering strap only for drag racing at the track. I test rode it a few days ago and it pulled like a freight train all the way to near 180 indicated and hit the speed limiter. Chris is going to install a Pingel electric shifter w/Dyna Shift Minder and a Speedohealer V4 to defeat the speed limiter. I told Chris to bump up the boost for 250 hp. The bike is a totally stealthy sleeper and is well mannered on the street until I twist the throttle and the boost kicks in. Then, all hell breaks loose and it's hang on time. It will fly the front wheel right through the gears with a little controlled effort. We have to wait a couple more weeks for the shifter and Speedohealer to be delivered and installed, before I take delivery. Soon to be 75. Ready to mark off a couple on my bucket list. Lew

You can go to and click on contact and that page has his facebook link to click on. His facebook site has some pics of my bike. Chris is taking the bike to Indianapolis this weekend to display at the track along with his own turbo ZX14 and Rickey Gadson will be drag racing a new ZX14R turbo prepped by Chris, which so far has done et of 7.88 at 193 mph in the quarter mile. Rickey's bike has dynoed at 320 hp and is still not completely dialed in. I expect to get my C14 back in a week after Chris finishes installing a Dyna Shift Minder, Pingel elec. Speed Shifter, Speedohealer, boost controller, DynoJet HUB with 2 switchable maps, one with lower boost (probably 7psi/ 230 hp) for well mannered street use and one with higher boost, water/methanol injection probably using C16 racing fuel and 9 psi tuned for 250 hp for the track. The Garrett GT 28 will blow compressed air into the engine through Velocity stacks with fuel fed through ZX14 intake/injectors through the heavy spring loaded valves to 9.5 CR forged turbo CP pistons. Exhaust is blown out through dual CF Muzzys. Also has Tial 38mm wastegate and 50mm blowoff valve. heavy duty cam chain tensionr and clutch springs, Soupy's rear adjustable lowering links and side stand, front end lowering strap/brackets, PCIII USB. Removed the flies, panniers, tail box. center stand, MC Enterprises tip over bars, and towbar. The Pingel Speed Shifter and the Muzzys exhaust are the only exposed performance goodies. Everything else looks stock. Lew
