Sad.
And ironic in that parks and camping is probably one of the best, cheapest thing a family can do for recreation, and what with all the unemployment that is exactly what people need.

It is the self serving, image is all that counts, political & filthy rich, greedy bastards at the top of the ladder fucking it up for the rest of us.
A temperate climate like we have here in So Cal is worth paying a little extra for to a certain extent.
I am not against paying my fair share to live here but, the rich don't feel they have to pay, the think they are entitled to it all on the natural just because they are financially wealthy.
No one is entitled to anything for free, especially the rich that have more than they know how to spend.
My time on this planet is almost up {I don't know how I made it this far for this long as it is} but, I want to enjoy my last few years riding my motorcycles all year round in "fairly good all year round" Southern Califirnia weather and if the greedy, self serving, financially wealthy scumbag politicians have their way, no one is going to have any fun but, them.

California is still the number one destination of visitors to the US. The reason is because it is the greatest state in the union. All but a few of the states are upside down so if its all liberals faults then the majority of states are liberal. Most Californians are for raising taxes to help fix the problems.

I moved from California to Tennessee in 1999. I would not go back for nothing. The state has no future. It's a shame because it must have been paradise in the 50's and 60's, but the liberals, and illegals have ruined it. Virtually all of my friends I had there have left also. The few that are still there all want to leave. I am actually going to enjoy watching california crumble and collapse. Mike.

There's a reason these companies are getting out of socialist cali:
here's Apple's new NORTH CAROLINA facility:
How Big is Apple’s North Carolina gig?????
Apple intends to invest more than $1 billion over the next 10 years on its 183-acre data center campus in Maiden, a town of about 3,300 residents in Catawba County in western North Carolina. The company has completed construction of a 505,000 square foot facility (pictured above) that ranks as one of the world’s largest data centers.
Apple’s plans for the site include a second data center of similar size, and in recent months the company has obtained construction permits for preliminary work on the site of the second building. The company has also purchased 75 acres of land across the road from the data center campus. Local officials say Apple has given no indication of plans for this land, although rumors point to an office complex.

Marysville was established in 1851 and was the largest City in Calif at that time ..Population of Marysville is now 11,600 ..

Linda ca , part of Marysville ca..
Appeal-Democrat
A drive-by shooting Sunday night left a 21-year-old man dead and two other people injured, a Yuba County Sheriff's Department official said.
The incident in the 5600 block of Tish Circle occurred about 7:30 p.m. Callers reported multiple shots, said Undersheriff Jerry Read.
Phoua Yang, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two victims were taken by ambulance for treatment, Read said.
"Investigators learned that the shots were apparently fired from a passing vehicle. The suspect vehicle was later located, but the suspects remain unidentified and at large," he said.
A neighbor on Tish Circle, Montie Elston, said he heard at least eight rapid shots, apparently from a semi-automatic gun. All the shots sounded like they came from the same gun, he said.
"I knew it wasn't someone playing with a toy, that it was something serious," Elston said.
Elston said he walked around the horseshoe-shaped Tish Circle to the scene of the shooting and saw a paramedic doing chest compressions on a man lying in the street. Another male victim, conscious but bloody, was sitting nearby, he said.
A number of children were playing outside at the time of the shooting. One neighbor had to tell his children to get down, he said.
"They didn't know what was going on," Elston said.
People, apparently relatives of the victims, were weeping, he said.
"This was real traumatic to the neighborhood," he said.
Sheriff's Department Lt. Damon Gil said Yang apparently lived in Linda at one time but may now be a Sacramento resident.
Tish Circle has been the scene of at least one previous drive-by shooting, which occurred in 2007, he said.

BRIEFS: 4 arrested in Yuba City gang shooting

May 21, 2011 12:12:00 AM
Four suspects were arrested Friday in connection with a gang-related shooting, Yuba City police said.
The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. May 6 near the 200 block of Dorman Avenue.
The suspects, while cruising an area known to be frequented by rival gang members, crossed paths with the victims.
The suspects followed the victims' vehicle for a short distance and then fired into the vehicle, wounding a 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old female, police said.
The Police Department's Gang Suppression Unit, assisted by the Yuba-Sutter Gang Task Force, arrested Gildardo Ortiz Mora and Victor Alfredo Garcia, both 18 and of Yuba City. They were booked for investigation of attempted murder and other charges. Bail amounts weren't available.
Two 17-year-old juveniles were also arrested. Their names weren't released.
All four have prior convictions for gang-related offenses, police said.

When i lived in Ca in the 50s 60s and 70s i could walk any place at any time and never have a problem.. We never locked our doors or our cars , people were good and kind .. Today you better not walk around town without a 9 mm and an extra clip .. A gang member will shoot you just for looking at them ... There are a reported 6000 gang members living in The twin citys ( Marysville and Yuba city ) ..Is it any wonder why people are moving to other states ?

Better start packing ...
Supreme Court orders California to release prison inmates
Comments 7
May 23, 2011 09:03:00 AM
Associated Press
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court this morning endorsed a court order requiring California to cut its prison population by tens of thousands of inmates to improve health care for those who remain behind bars.
The court said in a 5-4 decision that the reduction is "required by the Constitution" to correct longstanding violations of inmates' rights. The order mandates a prison population of no more than 110,000 inmates, still far above the system's designed capacity.
There are more than 142,000 inmates in the state's 33 adult prisons, meaning roughly 32,000 inmates will need to be transferred to other jurisdictions or released.
Justice Anthony Kennedy, a California native, wrote the majority opinion, in which he included photos of severe overcrowding. The court's four Democratic appointees joined with Kennedy.
"The violations have persisted for years. They remain uncorrected," Kennedy said.
Justice Antonin Scalia said in dissent that the court order is "perhaps the most radical injunction issued by a court in our nation's history."
Scalia, reading his dissent aloud, said it would require the release of "the staggering number of 46,000 convicted felons."
Scalia's number, cited in legal filings, comes from a period in which the prison population was even higher.
Justice Clarence Thomas joined Scalia's opinion, while Justice Samuel Alito wrote a separate dissent for himself and Chief Justice John Roberts.
The case revolves around inadequate mental and physical health care in a state prison system that in 2009 averaged nearly a death a week that might have been prevented or delayed with better medical care.
The facilities were designed to hold about 80,000 inmates.
The state has protested a court order to cut the population cut to around 110,000 inmates within two years, but also has taken steps to meet, if not exceed, that target.
Earlier this year, Gov. Jerry Brown signed a bill that would reduce the prison population by about 40,000 inmates by transferring many low-level offenders to county jurisdiction. The state legislature has yet to authorize any money for the transfer.
Kennedy said the state could ask for the court order to be modified to allow for up to three additional years to reach the 110,000-inmate target.
