Hello all, long time no see, or hear.....

Well I am just here to pass on some news and ask a favor.

Many of you know that I lost my hearing in June of this year. I am Profoundly Deaf. That means I am as Deaf as an anvil or in other words, I can't hear an darn thing.....nadda. I don't even hear the sounds you normally hear "inside" your head when you talk, what that came to mean is that I have damage to my Cochlear Nerves. Probably what happend (as the Dr's say) is I got a virus and/or have Autoimmune Disease.

Well the last few months have been, rather, well, depressing, frustrating, and discouraging to say the least. My life has ben in a shambles.

To add to that, I am losing my job to this. And my company, a MAJOR HEALTH CARE company called NOVANT, is pushing me out on the 27th of this month. OK before you send all kinds of suggestions, I am filing a EEOC complaint, I have a legal aid looking into it and I am filing for my long term disability benefits. ALL of this is a S-L-O-W and L-O-N-G process. But this will not stop them from terminating me on December 27th. Merry Christmas. In the mean time I am trying to sell my motorcycle so I will have some living money.

I have been to probably the best hearing medical facility around this side of the country, UNC in Chapel Hill NC. They told me I could try a Cochlear Implant, but they would not gurantee it would work, well my part of the cost is between 6 and 12 thousand dollars, money I don't even come close to having. This is after insurance and UNC helping pay part.

Well even if I had the money I don't think I could take that kind of gamble.

OK my favor;

I am considering, VERY STRONGLY... moving to Colorado (was born there) or Montana. I want to find a place to live and a place to work, I'm thinking ranch work, wrangler, fishing guide, hunting guide, all of which I have experience in. I prefer NOT to live close to towns/cities, and I don't mind the cold. (Well not too much anyway as I am getting older)


I don't have family, other than my son who is in college here in NC, so that affords me to go about anywhere. I do have a home here I would have to sell and I would have to move my posessions.

So my request.....

OK, well that's about it......hope you all are faring well, I'll be stoping in here to see whats going on from time to time.
