I think I am gonna let my connie go
Well after having it for 2 great years, I think I am gonna let it go. I only put 1500 miles on her and hopefully I can find her a good home.
I finally was able (after having the rotator cuff surgery 2 months ago) to ride again, truly a miracle, thought I was done for many many months, but made a miraculous recovery. Anyways on my last ride I gave it hell, and when I got home I realized that if I keep it I would prob kill myself on it. I also want to persue my long time passion of finally having my own built muscle car, heck I've been working on cars for 25 years, and todays stuff doesn't really impress me, they just do not have the "music" of a high compression cammed big block.
I took the utmost care of her, never been washed or in the rain, kept in a dehumidified garage, pc3, flies out, helibars, 2 bros carbon, oil and filter changed 3 times, now on amsoil in the eng and rear. Scratch free beauty still under warr.
I would prefer someone from here have her, as you have been great to me over the years, but one way or another I am going to let her go, I may regreat it someday, but I feel it's time to move on to different things.

I would like to see 8k, or thereabouts, realise that there is prob. no other c14, original year in any better shape or even runs better, bike is STRONG, yes it is no abs but the brakes kick azz too. Never washed, never wet, can you ask for more? No flies, pc3 etc, makes a stock connie seem like a 1100. I reallly do not want to push the limits of this site, however I would rather it go to a member, I never used the bags, they were recalled and then waxed and sealed in bags. I used it for sport, but was no jackazz to beat it early on, I have all the documentation as to what was done and when. I am a tech of 25 years, and am totally anal about maintanance. All I am going to say is this: rsperry1@hotmail.com, hopefull it wont get deleted. You can get 3 yr extended warr through ebay for less than 300 bux. It is sweet, period...

I have lived the bike life long enough, had my busa to 180, but he connie has the comfort, and better brakes, way bettter ergonomics as well. The tires, and I can finally say this, stink. But I believe that with different rubber it has real potential. I will still keeep my 2004 kx500 and my klr250, but its time for different experiences in my life.
The ls7 454 jet boat with brodix heads will be another experience, eventualy that will be the motor for my pro street car someday. I paid 12k for it (bike) and want a good home for it as well. You just cannot get a newer bike but to buy one new, Thanx ted for all your expertise, it was all really appreciated, and hopefully it will go to a member, that is my wish.

I am not bending on the price, you just cannot get better, it's a strong one, and as anal as I am you can bet your bottom dollar I mean what I say. Any help is appreciated.

Hey JC, missed you last week, the guards were having a dinner thingy at hecktown firehouse, I was there, asked about you, they said you couldn't make it because you worked second shift... Was close though...

Ok, I did sell if finally. Thank you Jailcop! Ebay didn't work, highest bid was 5601. A guy by the name of Gary bought it and he loves it so far, maybe he will join the forum in my place?
