Idle adjust is so easy on the 14 I can do it at a stop light with my gloves on in about 7 seconds.

My point was as the engine loosened up the idle would rise. At 2000 it had gone up about 300 rpm, by 4000 it went up another 200 and by 10 it went up another 100 or so.
I am surprised Steve's hasn't needed adjusting. Of course if it is running worse.... then it wouldn't need adjusting

Steve, you seem to put a lot of miles on your bikes. Have you ever gotten analytical and wrote down the mileage per tankful just to see how they compare?

That's right!! DB was asking a couple few weeks back, and I'd told him that you had a damn nice shield on your Connie, but could not remember what the hell you'd told me it was..........thanks for the reminder - I'm noting it in my phone this time

49k on my 08. had the old tps issue / fixed. Valves adjusted once. Tires, pads, oil & filter. Not even a battery. Due for a set of tires, I love it with new tires. Handles like a dream. Motor seems as new, uses 0 oil between 5k changes.
Pretty reliable bike.

With all the money you must make I would think you could spare a couple hundred bucks for some good Kawasaki gear. Love the pics but it would be much better if your riding partner would lose the Honda shirt...

26,000 miles and still no problems, except for eating tires. I am trying the Dunlop Roadsmarts and after 3,000 miles they look good and handle better than the PR2's I used to date.
