Trip to Halifax
My buddy and I finished our trip on the 08 Connies. Bikes ran fantastic and we had a great time. We left Albuquerque on June 26th and got back July 9th. Made it to Halifax Nova Scotia as our destination. We did 6473 miles according to the GPS. Did Ontario,Quebec,New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and 26 states. Can't say enough about the bikes, they are great. Did not enjoy the heat wave in New York though. Will post some pictures later.

Just wanted to add that the Global Cruise controls we installed worked well. They can be a little abrupt if you resume at a low speed. Over all they were a big asset on the trip. The air hawk seat cushion I put on made the 750 mile days easier. Still need to set up an account to send pics.
We did ride the tail of the dragon. The pics are on July 7th in the sport touring sections. We did not push because the police were every where and people told us they were giving out tickets.
We got really good fuel mileage. I think some of that is due to the cruise controls as I would set mine at 5 miles over the posted speed limit. The bikes computer said we averaged 48 miles per gallon over 6473 miles. The Zumo was good to have along with the Chatter boxes. It was good to have communication in the big cities on the east coast and to get directions in my helmet.
