awsome machine
just did my first tour on the bike since I got it. Did about 250 miles and it was soo comfortable. This bike has some crazy bottom end power> my buddy and i traded rides for a bit and when he pulled away I had a hard time catching him on his 08 busa untill about 200 then by by. Only thing is the bike is a little heavy in the front but im sure some new tires will make her a litle better. This has to be one of the best all around bikes made. Tons of power handles great very comfortable I deffinatly made the right choice here for sure.

Ummmmm NO - No Busa will get beat at any speed by ANY Connie at ANY speed...
If you caught or passed him on his Busa...he either can't ride, or he's running on 2 cylinders
Here's a thought though - remove the flies and do the exhaust/PC and you'll see what real power is...

pulling away at low speed the connie will kinda stay with the busa thats all i meant. Im just saying how surprised i was with the low end power of the connie. the busa will blow the fucking doors of this bike im not retarded !! nor would I even think this bike touring bike could even come closeto a busa. and I was on the busa!
the connie seems to pull ok to 200 kph but after that nothin special is that pipe you have geared towards top power or low to mid ?

2 things -
1) Change the tires to PR2's (2CT) - All the handling issues are in the OEM tires...and don't be afraid to kick her down low in the corners.
2) The Connie does indeed top out in the 200 range...all you can do is rev the piss out of it at those speeds...just keep the revs in th 7-8K range and don't shift until it's time. Do an exhaust./flies/PC and you'll gain quite a bit right across the board, but with the flies/PC mod...you'll gain a ton down low! It will blow you away...and you'll hang with the Busa in the lower ranges!

If you are talking about the c14, the factory warranty is 3 yrs, you can get 3 more years on ebay for around $350, to me it's worth every penny.,

I am not so sure, A couple of weeks ago I met up with 2 guys with busas. One could ride pretty well. I could pull away in the twisties, then I followed him for a while till he overshot a corner and I could hold my line, but what surprised me was we went down a long straight, Granted I was ready for them to take off and as soon as the hit it (both were in front of me) I was right there. They had nothing on me up to about 150mph where they let off. For sure after that they would have run away. But they didn't and they were surprised. One busa was a newer on with stock exhaust and the other was a few years older with an aftermarket exhaust. Both seem to run evenly.

yes this big bike will stay with the best of them I think. Im very surprised at it ! its fast enough for me and if I need any thing else ill start the old 12 up . I havent been on the 12 since I bought the connie last week. Great bike ! I love it !
This thing would be a beast for sure with a full exhaust and PC.
Imagine putting a zx 14 motor in it ! I wonder if it would just bolt in. A few mods and you would have some sleeper. hahaahh

I believe with real tires on it, the C14 handles better than my 12 did.

I must have had slow Connie's - LOL. My Busa's (00-04) were faster all the way up, stock everything. We're talking about a bike that weighs 480 vs.615 and has more power and much shorter gearing. No doubt you could eat him in the corners, I get that...but WOT on a straight...you must have some special gas in yours, either that, or they're afraid to rev the Busa's and I know you have no problem revving your Connie!
