running the wheels off my Connie!
Took bike to meeting in Miami (from Tampa). Southbeach was fun too!
Went from Miami to here in Columbia SC (moms). A few days here then MOUNTAINS for a week such as Asheville, NC Saturday. Maryville, TN Sunday and raising hell there till Thursday. Then over to Cookeville TN.
From TN I'll either use it for another work meeting that comes up (no thanks, Delta!), or bring it on home to Tampa.
Epic journey!
C14 a couple of months old and have about 6000 miles on the clock. My biggest fear was buying it for hi-miles and then not liking the bike and it becoming a garage queen. I love this bike!

Like I told you, the bike just begs to be ridden and eats miles like nobody's business. I only have about 15k on my new one, mostly because winter here really puts the brakes on riding. But all in all I have about 50k between both C14s.

The weather looks like it is going to turn although yesterday it snowed and only got to about 45. Today it is 75 and tomorrow is going to be almost 80. Time for some serious miles.
I am hoping hwy 4 (Ebbott's pass) is open, the evilest road most anywhere that will drop me way down South on 49 and then I can take 49 all the way to North to Downieeville and back home. That should yield about a 450 mile loop.

It was cooler than they said it would be and there was a cold wind, so I only went a couple of hundred miles today. Met up with some guys and a couple of them had busas. The C14 accelerated and stayed right with them on a long straight up to about 150 before they backed off. Pretty impressive. One guy was a pretty good rider and he couldn't keep up in the twisty section, then I let him go ahead and followed until he almost overshot a corner, I was able to hold the inside line no sweat. This is a great bike. They commented on how well such a big bike did but confessed if I was on my 10 the would not have been able to even see my taillight.

This week I'm all over from asheville nc to mary ville, tn plus rthe dragoin and cheroholla skyway
I'll be there with some locals this weekend. I've rode with them on the good roads many times. That twistie road they go along and to places to clear any debris on then use as a racetrack blew my mind!

That C makes a Busa look like a softy plushy Cadillac in the corners -
The Busa might be faster in the straights...but when it comes to corners, it's reminiscent of my old '73 Mach III Kawi 500 oil-burner! Kidding - it's not even close to that, but it is much sloppier in the turns than the Connie and it has no brakes either. It's one of the best little secrets in the bike industry, this Connie! FJR's don't come close in performance (but, they have a bigger gas tank - LOL)...and about the only ST bike that parallels the Connie would be the Beemer 1300GT IMO, for much more $$ too.

They would have eventually outrun me in the straight but up to 150ish they had nothing on me. I did have to lower my larger than stock windscreen though.
With good tires the Connie is a stellar performer in the corners.
Too bad you didn't have a 71 H1. It was faster, sloppier, and had worse brakes. And a shitload more fun to ride.

I had a 73 purple H2, Morris mags and Wheelsmith chambers. I was uncrating it and after I looked at it, went to the front office and bought it.
