Tires What's The Next Best For The C14
Money is a little tight right now but my 14 needs tires, the OEM's have the wear lines showing on the front and are really cupped. The back is so, so on tread but has a flat spot in the center so it turns like a small truck..lol I would like to get the Michelin PR 2's but the prices are killing me. I'm not an aggressive rider (anymore) so I don't think I need all the that PR 2's have to offer. So what is the next best choice?. I'm a little shocked that at 4700 the OEM's look as bad as they do but I guess from what I've read I should not have been surprised. I just thought my style of riding would have given me a little more.

I replaced the OEMs at 5000 Kms with PR2s. The Pilot Road 2s now have over 10,000 Kms on them and only look to be about 60% worn.
I expect another 5000kms out of them.
The price difference for the PR2s in my mind is more than made up for by the increased life expectancy..

i agree the PR'2 are the best...I have about 7k miles on them and they look all most new

Well as much as I wanted to go with the Michelins I got a good price on a set of Dunlop Road Smarts from a loacl M/C dealer and they have them in stock. $325 mounted and balanced...SOLD

Just bought new michelins pilot 2s......wow what a difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MONEY WELL SPENT. RIDE AND HANDLING IMPROVED 10 TIMES

my front i had to replace at 5800mi. got the same front as i did not have anything bad to say about it. when the rear is done i will get road smarts.i am expecting the rear to be done around 8000 to 10000mi.
boy did the bike handle nice with the new front again.

Put Pilot roads on and love them. They work well in the rain and are predictable on twisty roads. Paid $365 mounted and balanced.

Want them dirt cheap? Call My Motorcycle in Ashevile NC have 'em shipped- 800 359-0567 get a price shipped, they have them on clearance.
I bought a Pilot Power 2CT today for the 600RR for $157 (rear 180). Thats almost 100 less than I'm used to paying for that tire. They mentioned the Pilot Roads and Road 2's are also on sale dirt cheap.

Over 6500 miles on the PR2 with no signs of real wear. My previous 2 sets of BT021 would have already been getting close to the wear marks. So far, so good!
