New C14 Owner, Needs Advice
I recently purchased an 09 Black Non-ABS C14 and absolutely love the bike so far (350 miles). I am looking to upgrade the exhaust system as soon as possible. I have read all the exhaust related threads on this site and now I am looking for suggestions for the best all around exhaust for the C14, price to performance.
At this point in time I am looking to purchase the AreaP Carbon Fiber slip on package from fuelmoto with the PC5 and BMC filter. I would like to hear from those that have the slip on and those that have the full system. If you were in my shoes, which way would you go?
Thanks for any and all replies!

Kerry at Area P will help you get the most out of that bike. He goes the extra mile to help and few on this planet are more knowledgeable.

Did a slip on AreaP on my 08p; loved it but there are no power gains there. Now, I've got the system you mentioned on order from Fuel Moto USA...

Did Jamie from Fuel Moto happen to give you an expected ship date or what the availability is? Thanks for the input so far!

I ordered the AreaP full system from Jamie this morning. He is hoping it will be shipped within two weeks. I am very excited for it to arrive as you can imagine. Now I will need to track down instructions on how to remove the secondary butterflies. Let me know when you get your system in and installed, I can't wait to hear it and see it on the Black C14s.

It's very easy - do a search in this forum. I and a few others wrote it up years ago, on the ZX boards here. You just need a good long (philips) screwdriver. I think it's a number 2 and uses a fine blade.

I read some horror stories about stripping out the heads on the screws that hold the flies in. Is warming the screws the ticket to having no issues removing them? That would suck pretty bad to strip them out and have to drill them out somehow. I'm looking to remove the flies, install the PCV and the AP full system once it comes in. I believe Jamie is preloading the PCV with the map with flies out. I cannot wait to hear it, see it, and most importantly feel the difference with the new pipe on the bike.
I checked out your pictures and your Z06 is pretty sick. I almost bought an 04 Z06 last year but opted for the Caddy CTSV instead. I wanted the C6 body style and couldn't justify the $ yet. The CTSV is a beast also, LS6 with exhaust and cold air intake goes like hell.
Thanks for you input on this site, it's very helpful.

Ya, warming them up seems to help some people. If you have the right screwdriver and the right length (at least an 8" shaft) and lot's of downward pressure, they come off easy without heat. I fucked up a screw, because I didn't take my time...and had the wrong screwdriver.
I love that new CTSV. If only I could get in it in AWD!

As drewherc mentioned, you need a 446-2x bit, it is the perfect size, use it with a 8" magnetic screwdriver, it is the perfect size. I tried number 2's and modified 1's, but that 446 bit is perfect.just keep pressure on it while turning it, yes they are loctited in, but that bit is spot on., and will assure you of an easier job. Of course you need a pc3 or pc5 with the correct map, but thats easy stuff, night and day diference in real world riding...
The full system from area p will do it all and then some, You just need the right map, I was gonna get the first one but problems came up and I will have to wait.....
