There are a few of them out there. Audiovox has one that uses vacuum, Rosra has a fully electronic one, Motorcycle cruise controls has one. I want one but I have not decided which. Mostly because of the control unit and having a super clean mounting. I am not wild about an vacuum canister under there also.

I went with the Throttlemeister. Easy install, looks good, and works. Setting it takes a little practice but it's basically just sliding your right hand out on bar end and giving about a 1/4 turn with your little finger. The only trick is getting the right combination of spacers when you install it, so that you don't have to crank more than that 1/4 turn.
Works really great in conjunction with a "Throttle Rocker" to hold speed with your palm while your little finger sets the cruise.

I have a throttlemeister and to be honest I am looking for a real live cruise control.

Ted, last summer you complained about the vibration being worse with the Throttlemeisters...well, you were right pal...I have had them for years with great success on all of my bikes, except the Connie...
I had them on my 08 and now on the 09...you were 100% right. I will leave them on, but will have to live with the vibe issues...

It does make a difference. I think the handlebars are too long for a solid weight out there. I was looking for a way to rubber mount the thing like the stocker.
A real cruise would be good, there is a digital one out there (Rosra is one of them) that doesn't use vacuum. I saw some controls that don't look like you put a billboard on your handlebars. I was hoping Kwak would come out with one, I won't hold my breath.

There's an issue with that on the Connie...size - it is too big from my recollection. Murph can tell you more...he has posts on the "other" site, where I cancelled my account...you know which one I mean. The Audiovox cruise sells for $75 or so and does the job as well if not better than the digital one from Rostra (who makes the Audiovox). Only pain is getting the cable connected to the throttle. Vacuum is supposed to be easy to work with from what I know.

That is why I haven't already done it, aside from being really busy building my street tracker.
