Dunlop is challenging michelin!

Just my cycle world today and on like the 4th page a dunlop ad showing an '08 concours 14. Their new tire is the roadsmart, 3 different composition tire (can you guess where it came from?), anyone have them on their bike?

I have an '08 with 19,370 miles and I am running the dunlop roadsmarts and I love them, great traction and control, way better than those stock tires. one of my sons has a hyabusa and a new zx-10 and another son has an R-6 and we ride the most technically challenging roads that we can find and these tires have increased my cornering abilities 10 fold.

I am still on stockers, but the bike gives me confidence. I have never hit the pegs, never did in my life on any bike, and am afraid if it happens I am going to panic.

Everyone says the tires mean everything on this bike, but I just can't see throwing them out... I mean I have the $$ for new ones, and I might just do it when I need tire sensors replaced. I wander which is better the michelin or the dunlop, anyone know??

The Michelins are a proven stellar performer and wear 2 times better than the BSs. The bike turns day and night on you. The PR2s perform so well it will have to be a miracle if they are better/ And to this day I have never seen any street tire made by Dunlop out perform the equivalent Michelin.

Just looking for a side by side comparison, maybe the dunlops are better, who knows, at least the michelins are not ps2's (remember that one?)(lol)..........

The good part about tires is they are wear items and you are not stuck with them forever.
Someone will try them eventually. The season is just starting.

PR2's are the way to go! I use the PR2 in the rear and PP2 on the front. Great combo!
