vibration
I got my front tire change about 2 months ago and i have a vibration now and when i first got the bike it was fine,,,,any help would be helpful..i want my old/new bike back.

Is the vibration only at certain speeds or certain rpm's?

if the bike is traveling period...i have turn the bike off while riding and it is still there.. i am thinking that it started when i got my front tire changed at the end of last year.

If it does it at any speed (meaning even 10 mph), then what I would do is put it on the center stand, put some weight on the back seat enough to get the fron wheel off the ground and spin it. Look for any obvious defects such as a wobble in the wheel/tire, or a flat spot, or where the tread tracks funny for a split second. This could potentially be very dangerous to ride on, I mean having the tire disintegrate at speed would not be fun. If it does it at any speed, like you say, it is not a balance issue.
If in doubt and you cannot find the answer take it to the dealer, there has to be a warranty on it.

If it's a result of the front tire, then the tire or install is wrong. Tire is defective or installed wrong, poor balance, arrow on wheel facing wrong way.

ok they closed on sunday so i will do all of that in the morning.....hell I put 300 miles on it riding back from my home town like that...feels like the brakes may be rubbing...thanks..it was perfect when i got it except for the recalls....and the tire replace ment

The sportmax may be the wrong tire for a heavy bike. Consider switching to Michelin Pilot Road 2s.

it was the front tire...the treads on them are raised up higher then the ones next to them...that what was causing it..

That's called "cupping" which is usually the result of either improper inflation, mounting in the wrong direction, or a defective tire to start with. It's not usually dangerous, but it is under warranty and should be changed,

omce to find out I did put it on the stand and it was no vibration ...it was the tread design one slightly raised and the other lower...I changed to the pilot roads for the front and a month later the back showed belts..so last weekend 5-15-09 i match the pilot road for the rear...no problems at all.....this is my first bike and I got it in june of 08 and have 10k miles on it already..I love this ...all gased up and oil changed waiting to Mrytle beach this friday..

Pilot Road-2 made a big change on my C-14 . The OEM Tires lasted about 4,000 miles befor the front tire cupped . The Rear tire still had some life but I changed them anyhow . I'm ready for the Blue Ridge again .
