ignition problem
Has anyone had a problem with the ignition? I have 10,500 miles on my 08 including a 7800 mile trip from Fl to Ca and back. Rode on Sunday and then could not get any signal to the ignition switch to get power. Thought it might be a battery drain but dealer said it is a bad ignition and needs to be changed. This will have to include all lock sets as well. Love the bike but was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem.

It's a known issue on the Connie...it's got to do with bad switch contacts underneath and the KIPASS. I had that and it was replaced -- my key was stuck in the switch. All good since then though.

In an emergency you can disconnect the switch connector and fake a switch push. I believe it is a gray connector.
