Passenger Issue

My wife has been riding with me for over 20 years. She is 5' 6" and about 120 lbs. The other night I finally had a chance to take her on the C14 for the first time and she loved the ride BUT getting on and off the bike for her was a major problem. In fact when she was getting on one time she almost pulled me (and the bike over) and she's a very experienced passenger. Even getting off the bike was a bitch. Does anyone else have this problem with a passenger?? The problem is obvious the saddle bags sit so high they get in the way. Anyone have a method to get a passenger on and off without almost trashing the bike???

My wife is 5'7" and 130, maybe 128 if she reads this. She was a little disenchanted getting on and off the bike when we first got it. Of f a website from here I bought a lowering kit for the rear pegs, lowered it a little more than 2 inches, and she thinks it's easier to get on and off and way more comfortable to ride.........

If the bags are on it looks like a bitch

Without them it looks way easier, I am not going to ride a passenger untill I get a lower seat, that is for sure...

Dudes? It's easy. I'm always riding a lady (that sounds dirty) Pillion that is.

Do this:

stand up, helps you hold the bike more solid anyway, grip the connie between your thighs for even more stability, have your lady get on using THE RIDER PEGS. She can hold on to your back, shoulders or as mine do....MY Bum! One little slide up onto her perch and voila', sit down and go. Works great in reverse too.

USE THE PEGS!!

She will have to use the pegs unless she's 6'5". Exiting just stand up on both pegs and then swing her leg behind her. Getting on, left foot, left pet, or vice versa. Stand up on it completely, then the other peg, and sit down. My girl is only 105 lbs but I've rode some much heavier. Had bags on my ZX-14 too, same system.
