Just Found Out
I just took my bike in for it's 600 mile service and found out the dealer I got the bike from (not the one doing the service) never did the recall on the bag latches. They told me they were done and in fact told me they are not allowed to release it if it not done but they did it anyway. I just gave them a call and after what I said to them I'm probably not welcome there anymore. Now the problem is because Kawasaki knows this if the bags fall off it's my problem until they are fixed. The dealer told me there really not allowed to let me drive the bike off there property because of the safety issue. Of course they didn't enforce this but when I called the dealer that sold me the bike I told them they did. I would say if anyone lives in my area beware of Scott PowerSports in Coopersburg. I have heard of similar problems from this place before. I don't like doing business there but at the time is was the only C14ABS I could find, and the price was right....

? don't get it... tell them to fix the bags!
call Kawasaki's customer support hotline if they won't.
you can also pick up your bike and take it elsewhere?

They are going to fix it but the part was not in stock. The dealer that found the problem is not the one I bought the bike from. I always deal with Andretti Power Sports because 1( there close to where I live and 2( my friend is the mechanic there. But I had to buy the bike someplace else because I wanted ABS and the financing was better.

I never had that issue with stroud powersports (which by the way had an abs since late last fall). I took the bags home before I even got the bike. When I got the bike they did notify me of the recall and said they ordered the parts. I haven't heard from them in a month and I had been back there once as well since I got it. It is not just the bag latches but also the plastic on the rear carrier. They will probably never call me, so I am going there this weekend to get the wife a helmet and ask them about it...
Heck this is a real minor recall, I still remember the terrible one on my 2000 busa... That was badddddd.

It not Stroud it's Scott Powersports the one on 309 in Coopersburg. Scott Powersports is where I got the bike, Andretti didn't have the ABS I wanted. I don't know how bad the recall was on your Busa but I know I don't want my bag to fall off.LOL
P.S. oncourse are you rideing this weekend?? Maybe we'll run into each other. I heading out Sunday I think..

Maybe be out sunday, I want to run the tank down a little, well down to the warning at least to make taking it off easier. Maybe we can plan to meet somewhere just to say hi?
I did know it was scott, I was just explaining my experience with my dealer I got my bike through... I have been to both of the dealers you mentionedm however...
