Top Case
Anyone get a top case for their Concours14 yet? What brand? How much? Likes? Dislikes?

I'd go for the givi v46. Worlds better than the jcwhitney box. If you can get one, a shad46 box isn't bad either. Not quite givi quality but costs a little cheaper.
If you go with the givi get the aluminum mounting plate, not the plastic one.
Btw, I see from your profile you're in IN... Westbound from the cog forum isn't too far from you. He's just north of indy.

I went for the givi maxi, 52 liters I think. It was great EASILY packing all my spin and fly fishiong gear and heading to Maine from NYC...even had room for my laptop...thats a first for me. It stayed water tight through a couple of downpours and its nice to have everything secure;ie: not bungeed.

What color are you guys getting for the Givi box? Is there one that matches the Connie or just black?

For what it's worth, I went with a different solution: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/4/71/5582/ITEM/Tour-Master-Deluxe-Tail-Bag.aspx

I bought the Kawi tail box (worked it into the bike deal they threw it in) has all the room I need.
Bounces a little too much though.

I'm pleased with the Shad46 from Murph's, Quality looks as good as Givi's.

Cheap Bastard that I am I have the JCW. Replaced my lugage rack with 1/4 in aluminum plate, and it is solid. Mebby not super deluxe but serviceable and dont look too bad. Got mine for 48 bux and free shipping during a super sale. I can live with that.

I had thought of replacing the plastic piece with an aluminum plate too. I hve a mill and could almost duplicate the piece. would just need to anodize it blact to have it fit in better.

I have a Whitney box also. It appears to have been made by Givi. I paid the full boat price for it $85 with the mount, including shipping.. I replaced the plastic back piece with Phillip's aluminum piece, and it is solid.
