Exhaust Question (slip-ons)

I have a set of slip-ons from my ZZR. There from Holeshot Performance and I loved the sound of them on my ZZR. Now I have 2 of them (ZZR had duel exhaust) but I talked to Dale Walker owner of Holeshot and he says the muffler is the same one he sells for the C14, all I would have to do is buy a new mid-pipe and it will bolt right on. It won't do much for the horsepower but I've heard some sound clips of the C14 with pipes and it sounds good. So 2 things does anyone else have slip-ons on there C14 and how do they like them. And 2 anyone interested in my extra muffler (make an offer) the mid-pipe from Holeshot is about $180 plus shipping. I guess my other option would be try to sell the whole ZZR system to a ZZR owner. I just hate to have them sitting around not being used and there less than 2 years old and still look new.

I just got my two bros carbon slip on system yesterday, It's going on this weekend along with my helibar adapters. I will let you know how it sounds, looks totally georgious! Fit, finish and detail like I never have seen before.
I was looking at the holeshot system first, but wanted carbon for heat shielding.
Like I said I will let you know as to how it all goes together and sounds.

Ps. Don't forget you need to use your old centerstand bumper off your original pipe on the midsection.

I finally got to ride today with the 2 bro's carbon, quiet, but low deep tone. Mostly I heard air going therough my helmet as I was doing 80+ on a 40 mph road, passing cars like garbage cans. I do not even know what this thing can do, just have been 1/4 throttle up to 4k, the real power comes on after that and I may just never want more power. The thing handles like a dream, just giver a shot of ass going into a corner and she holds her line, I am so impressed.

As far as I am concerned I couln't have made a better exhaust, sounds perfect.

oncourse, glad to hear the pipes sound good. I'm going to order the mid-pipe tomorrow (tried to do it last Friday but they were closed) so I can install my slip-on. I got to do about 100 miles today and I like this bike even more now. I thought I would like it quiet but it's actually to quiet for me so it's time to do the pipe. I still haven't had it over 5000 RPM's yet because it only has 300 miles on it. Can't wait to really open it up and see what it can do. I know my ZZR would plant your eyes balls back in the socket when you nailed it. Although the power of this bike is smooth I'm guessing the result will be the same....

Jailcop, Make sure you get the clamp thingy that holds the centerstand rubber bumper. I believe that the holeshot exhaust does not come with the bracket (mid pipe) otherwise your centerstand will hit the pipe. The good thing with the 2 bros. system is that the mid pipe has the same type welded bracket that accepts the factory rubber bumper for the centerstand, and it is exactly at the right place, right on the money. The hardest part was actually getting the factory rubber piece into the hole!

I never rode a zzr, at that time in my life I had a zrx1200r, eveyone on the forum for my bike said the zzr would just walk away from the zrx. The connie is smooooth as glass, no vibes to speak of and comfortable, I am sure when you finally get her broke in you will see that she has more than enough get up and go for almost any situation.

Well the mid-pipe arrived and I installed the Holeshot exhaust this morning. It went really smooth as expected. I bike sounds great but it's a lot quieter than I expected. My ZZR with the same pipes was much louder. I thought with 4 going into one it would be louder than the duals on the other bike but I was wrong but that's a good thing. Since I have 2 mufflers and only need one I might be interested in selling the spare. Let me know if someone is interested. It's in perfect condition and all you would have to do is buy a mid-pipe from HoleShot (less than $200 with shipping) and your all set.
