I'm Sold!!
Well, since the 04 10r is mostly doing trackdays now I started looking for a street bike. I finally had it down to 3 different bikes, an 08 ZX10r, 08 Harley NightRod and an 08 Concours14, with all having there plus' and negatives. So yesterday I'm at my local Kawi dealer looking around when the owner says, I'll put a battery in the Concours14 and you can take it for a spin. He says you ride it and your mind will be made up. So I took him up on it and I'm sold!! The torque, the power, the engine smoothness, the handling, the sitting position, it's the best of all worlds. So I'm picking it up next week!! All I need now is more vacation time (and maybe an AreaP slip on)

What will really sell you is the handling. Unreal for such a big bike. Then it improves dramatically when you junk the Bridgestone tires and put on a set of Michelin PR2s.

Well, I picked it up today and put on the first 100 miles. First impressions???
1) I'm not really sure of the purpose of the key system. I think once I get used to it that it'll be ok, just don't understand the purpose.
2) I find myself cruising on it and looking at the dash to find I'm cruising in 4th gear (doh!!). Definitely a very quiet bike.
3) Getting on and off the bike without kicking the saddlebag is going to take some practice.
Other then that I love it!! Powerful, smooth, handles well for 600+ lbs and comfy (even though I'll withhold an opinion about the seat until I get more seat time)
I do have a warranty issue already. The rear tire battery low light keeps flashing so the dealer is ordering a new battery for it. What sucks is that to change the battery the tire has to come off the rim.
I'll keep you updated!!

The Kpass is one of the best features of the bike. Just keep the fob in your pocket and the only time you will have to remove the key is for gas and bags. No fumbling around with looking for your key, it just stays with the bike. I have the same type of thing in my Vette and love it. As soon as I figured out how it works on the bike I just love it.
