One more windshield question

I made a mistake. I thought for sure, the Kawasaki tall replacement shield would do. Silly me. Now I know for long supersonic highway trips, I should order the CE Bailey Ultra.
But, what about the strength of the supports?

Has anybody had problems with the track mechanism not withstanding the forces?
This weekend I had the shield all the way up, and with a 20-30 mph head and cross wind, the force just holding my arm out in the air was about to rip it off when up at 80-90 range. This shield only shutters when in truck turbulence or sudden gusts, and all else seems OK, but....

I was with a friend looking at a used FJR recently and noticed the track was very loose. Wonder if that is what will happen with the 'ultimate' screen over time.
And is there any warranty issues if the mechanism needs repair, not using an approved shield?

Thanks!

As far as I know there haven't been any problems. Some have voiced concern relative to the shudder but I personally don't worry about it.
If I do ever have a problem I'll take it in for warranty with the stock screen installed.
