Backrest

The folks at Premier Cycle Accessories were kind enough to make their pre-production passenger backrest available to me for a trip that I had planned. The photos on the web site really don't do the unit justice. It's much more attractive in person. Though probably not intentional, the powder coat finish actually matches the texture of the black plastic portions the saddlebags. After feeling the lightness of the unit you really appreciate the fact that it's made of aluminum and not steel and the brace doesn't look bad at all. I found the stock rack to be pretty useless anyway so the brace is really not an issue. The unit fits perfectly and goes on and off the bike in less than a minute so it's not a problem if you want to run without it. My wife finds the backrest to be very comfortable and since she feels more confident sitting more towards the rear of the seat it gives me a bit more room. In IMHO the backrest looks more finished and is better made than the factory rest was on the old C -10 and for about the same price.
