Rear fender kit
Has any put on a fender eliminator kit yet? The stock one looks like a sky hook used to stop jets landing on aircraft carriers. The style of this bike is great but the rear fender and bazooka exhaust gotta go! The lower part of the fender looks like it might come off easily but I haven't been brave enough yet to start cutting things.

Rear Fender Eliminator available now
Muzzys has an OEM quality Rear Fender Eliminator available. It's black anodized and allows for installation of the stock license plate light.

$50 to remove something? Christ I removed mine for free! Sure I have no license light but I got pulled over for not wearing a helmet the other night (which is legal here) and the cop didn't even mention my missing light. I guess in some places they might but Jeez....
Besides that thing looks like it hangs down pretty low kinda like a, um....fender!

What this entails is a laser cut, black anodized part that closely approximates the stock angle and offers cable routing for the stock plate light. "OEM quality" comes from customer comments.

doesn't look bad on the pic but what stops tire water from skunk striping the back of the bike?

Let me warn you about that tail, they make similar for the 14 (it looks like the exact same one). The way its engineered instead of coming with a small LED it mounts the HUGE Kawi light onto that plate, and the light sticks out at a weird angle. So we're removing to reinstall the monstrosity light? Notice the pic doesn't show it installed.
I'm not sure what is available for the Connie. I'm going with this type that has a tiny white light LED over that bulk. I'm having it powder coated black to be superclean, since I'm getting pegs and heel guards done anyway. The LED can't be seen in the pic but its there and lights the tag.

Oh and, it's not as bad as I expected in the rain. Throws some water on the taillight and the back of the rack. None has reached the seat or me.

The Muzzy's is nice but I want to use LED plates instead of the stock light. Well, looks like the hacksaw will be working....

Just unbolt the lower part of the rear fender. The ECU is still covered. I used a rainwater gutter bracket for tag...price 65Cents...
