It finally arrived - 1st ride

Just picked mine up on tues. afternoon (fresh out of the crate) and I LOVE this bike. It is everything and more. I rode it to work this week and cannot wait to try some twisties this weekend fantabulous! I will report back when I get some more seat time.

Kevin the love affair has started. I have had mine for about a month and have close to 2500 miles. I love getting on this bike and I have owned many. This one begs to be driven.

Finally got out for some twisties and had ablast. This bike takes everything I can throw at it and plenty more always ready for my next move. In 1981, I purchased a yamaha seca 550 and this feels like the grown up version with all the same handling and agility to be a thrill a minute. Windshield and handbars are just right. I am 6' and it fits me like a glove, wow! totally awsome.

recently hit 3000 miles on one of my favorite rides, down the coast highway from monterey to santa barbara (finished in oxnard to see my my new grandson, our 5th). Hwy 1 is what this bike was made for, I had so much fun in some great corners with the pacific ocean as a backdrop, what more could I ask for. I saw 4 other c-14's and I certainly surprised those other riders who were riding slow in front of me. What a day and certainly, what a bike, awsome.

Sounds like you loving life right now on that new ride. I am taking my first long voyage starting this Sunday. Utah to Ft Lauderdale Florida. Got the taller windshield for it, throttlemiesters, Magellan Crossover GPS and a bluetooth FM Scala Rider for the trip. Wife isn't to happy about the trip but I wanted one more long trip before she goes away for the winter.

While in Oxnard (mon.) 2 of my sons and I rode out to HWY 1 and then up Decker cyn. to mulhulland and on to the Rock store. I found the true lean angle of this great bike and surprised my boys on their GSXR's. My bike was the talk of the town at the rock store, at least 4 guys looked like they regretted buying their FJR's. headed back to northern CA. and had an absolute blast on the Grapevine (thank goodness there weren't any law enforcement nearby). I have over 3600 miles and she just gets stronger everyday. Looking forward to the Intl motorcycle show on sat. in san mateo.

Just got back from the intl. motorcycle show and you will never guess which bike was very popular, the C-14, go figure. Sure had fun riding over and back.

Let me get this straight...... The rock store and mull. Hwy. OK............. But an absolute blast on the Grapevine...... ? That is the worst, most boring and heavily patrolled chunk of truck stuffed piece of asphalt on the planet..... OK, Frazier park is fun to look at while driving by, Tejon Ranch too..... But the Grapevine? You have to be kidding..... Please tell me your kidding.... It does drop into the central Valley for a 800 mile straight line drive... Thats not too much fun either..... I just drove it last week..... It sucked....

Yesterday I rode the C14 and the FJR back to back. Wow! the C14 is a much nicer bike. I had my heart set on the FJr for quite sometime, but after riding the C14 I had changed my mind. Smooth shifting, and plenty of power. That was my first ride. Needless to say I put my money down on the next C14 with ABS that comes in.

I have always wanted to take the grapevine on a motorcycle (one time only) and just blast by everything else. One of my sons was with me on his GSXR 750 and we were at 120mph most of the way and yes the flat part at the bottom is a real drag, but we did make the best of the way we were going anyway. what is fun is making my son work hard just to keep up with me. Yeas, I had fun tearing up the grapevine, if that is really possible. I always look forward to any and all riding possibilities. Friday (23rd) 2 of my sons and I will be riding out del puerto cyn to mines and up over the licht observatory to alum rock and back on 680, can't wait.
