The CATs
It's my understanding that there's a cat in the muffler and another upstream in where, the collector? Obviously if you go with an aftermarket can you've removed that one. Does anybody know just where the other cat is and if it can be removed easily?

Check the collector. You should see the where the catalytic converter is in the collector by the color change of the metal due to the heat.

I think I had my nomenclature wrong. I was calling the collector the area just in front of the clamp, which is probably still the header. I see what you're talking about just aft of the clamp....now I get it. Or I can just look for the whiskers and little silver bow. HA! Too much!
