No, I just want to confirm that the rear end is truly as stupid and ugly looking as it appears from the side views i have seen.

I found this picture.........................Yikes!!, it really is worse than I thought. As someone else suggested, did Suzuki kidnap someone from Corbin? I'll get use to it. It's not polite to vomit on another riders bike

Ok. now I am going to have to be completely honest. I like the design. The 14 is no prize by far. The tail on it looks like some X-File shit and that George Foreman grill on the side gets me hungry for hamburgers every time I see it. KNOCK THE FAT OUT!LOL

Is Suzuki your God?

I was hoping I could trade the two-year old 14 for the new bike but nope. The slipper-clutch doesn't even make up for that ugly fack, no wonder when this thread first started there were no 360 pics of that crap

The Busa has always had an ugly ass, but I didnt think it could get worse. How's the drag bike crowd gonna extend the swing arm or even the the tail section. Can you picture that shit extended.. I cant. That rear is plain fugly, I dont think anyone can deny that.
The 14 is no GQ bike either but DAMN that shit is ugly ! Oh did i forget to mention Damn that ass is ugly.

Is Kawaski yours?

It would'nt have made any difference what it would have looked like, you would not be satisfied because you can't' cope with progress.

Hi, I'm new here. As a Kawasaki guy, I actually have to say that I like the 2008 Hayabusa, looks and all. I might actually be the only person on planet Earth that likes the way this bike looks from what I've read! In fact (I can't believe I'm typing this - really), I think it's better looking that the 14. I'm looking to get a new bike in '08, and for me it's BMW K1200S vs. Kawasaki ZX-14 vs. Suzuki Hayabusa.

As far as I'm concerned, all three of these bikes are filthy freaking fast. So for me it's a matter of refinement and reliability. Right now, between the Japanese bikes, the 2008 Hayabusa is looking like a better value to me. I'm just excited to see what Kawasaki has up its sleeve in terms of motorcycle features! Hell it took long enough, but for once the Hayabusa actually looks like a bike I want to ride. Go figure.

Guys;

Aerodynamics is NOT "Attractive"!!

The new "EyeAbuser" looks to do a better job of smoothing the airflow off the riders back.

Dirty Air behind the bike is what causes the most drag! Suzuki is doing thier best to re-join all the different routes the air is taking around the rider and bike. This will alow the ugly device to walk on the big end with less effort.

Bullseye!

look at VH 12 the one in his avatar is not pleasing too the eye but I bet it is slippier(No offense intended Vincent) The new Busa bodywork will not win many kudo'd for the general market masses, other select folks will appreciate the engineering aspect that went into the design

We just need a few more players in this displacement segement.

Hello, I'm new to the board. Been reading the posts on the new Hayabusa and put a deposit on an Orange/Black. I used to have a 2000 red/silver, but sold it a few years back. I've missed the effortless power and smooth ride so have been considering the purchase of a new Hayabusa or ZX-14 for a while. I probably would have ended up with a ZX-14 if the local dealer had a black one in stock. However, I'm glad I waited to find out what the 08 Hayabusa was going to be like. I like the colors and changes.

I know not many people here like the rear end of the new design, but it's all part of Suzuki's winning strategy. Who would want to get closer to that back end, much less pass it, after the Hayabusa pulls out front?

You are absolutely correct. The thinker in me appreciates the look of the 2008 Hayabusa because I know why it shaped the way it is. To me, it is a thing of bueaty. Regardless of how slick most people think sport bikes look, they are NOT that aerodynamic. Why? It's mainly because of drag cuased at the rear of the bike. That's where airflow separates off the bike/rider and Eddy Currents (vortexs of air, which are the physical manifestations of drag) are created. By shaping the tail they way they did, Suzuki has attempted to keep the air flowing down the riders back to roll off the bike, keeping the airflow as smooth, and drag free, as possible. When riding on the right side of the speedometer, I'm willing to bet that the Hayabusa is going to need less horsepower vs. the ZX-14 to maintain the same speed.

Of course, this is keyboard racing, but what the hell, right?

Maybe that guy that is putting Busa engines in the Kawasaki's may want to put a 14 engine in the Busa and see if it is faster than it is with a Suzuki Engine!

The #1 thing they did do right was they kept the CC BELOW 1350 CC for Land SPeed Racing that is a good thing because the 14 has to be in the 1650 CC Class where the Busa is in the 1350 CC Class. Somehow I do not think 15 CC WIll make the ZX14 THAT Much faster or quicker that it was necessary!
