I liked my 06 Connie and had planned to go from Maryland to the Rockies on it , but I kept hearing about a new Teck Connie . Nothing wrong with the 06 (Great Bike) Then I started reading about the new Connie and saw some Pictures . Then I went to the dealer for service on the 06 and saw the New One sitting on the floor . The next day the new one came home with me . What a Ride . I lost some money on the 06 , but the 08 sure made up the difference . The 08 sure loves the mountians . Awsome Machine .

i'm looking at a sport-tourer because the ladies that used to ride on the back of my 14 balk at the thought of riding on the back of my litre leaner.

but PK says the passenger experience on the connie is pure hell. i'm looking at the BMW K12 S

he rode it to work today, hopefully the weather stays to the north so we can ride later, even a little ride feels great after all this rain.

Ummm, here's a novel idea steve: buy a 2008 --- wait for it ---- ZX-14! Why settle for less? At least its both comfortable for long rides, and fast as hell!

You know, that keyless start "FOB" device (where key is left in bike, & your carrying the "FOB" device in pocket.) What I'm saying is, you decide to start device via the FOB device, but you didn't remember you left it in gear when you got off.

Thus, you turn it over w/the remote, it jerks forward, then back, and falls off the sidestand. Maybe the sidestand switch would prevent this it they wrote it into the code? Donno but that FOB sounds like more trouble than it's worth?

Yes, I agree steve. Every bike has its purpose and gives you a different experience. I would love to have a nice sport
tourer for the long hauls. I would possibly consider honda vfr or c14. I'm going to wait until when I have the
time and funds. But for now short trips are in. I do want to do serious commutes eventually. I guess when the little
one gets older and he can fend for himself, Ill be good. CANT WAIT! you guys are so lucky.

that's not how the fob works.
