Pulled the deposit yesterday

Went into the dealership and had a couple questions:

1. Delivery date? - Unknown, they don't plan on ordering until September

2. Price? - Unknown, they didn't care to speculate.

Based on that, I elected to pull my deposit and shop elsewhere.

BTW .. I agree... too much silence about this bike... IMHO they've hurt themselves... lost "the buzz"... they're killing the mojo they had from the announcement, baby!

Do not blame ya for it sfwt. I have considered the Concours before I bought the 14, just to abandon the idea pretty quick as the circumstance around it have not developed favorably.

Fish: "killing the mojo" - yes, good analogy

Well the bike was realeased here today in Australia. June 1st. You will regret your choice to withdraw deposit. This bike pulls like a train more than my zx14 down low. Can't wait to get a good ride on it.

Box stock bottom end kind of pull your house down if you forgot to unlock it from the garage kind of splintered bedroom to sleep in..... Holy shit here comes the fun when I unlock that puppy from it's cage. I am laughing like you wouldn't believe.... and Suz has something? Oooooooooo K. Show me.

Why does the concourse perform better than the 14 down low? gearing? lack of secoundaries? I'm really looking for a reason not to call BS on your post :P

stevewfl, I'll guess smaller air velocity... just air change is all. Call it BS. Wait for the 0 to 60 grunt pulling feet between the 2. I agree with you somewhat, Steve. I'm also speculating on the velocity change and the move-able cam calling the flow kind of in the know.

Gearing down low? Is the gear ratio any different? Spin the crank (once) times the rear wheel tire stem stop; in each gear kind of write down the spec.

The secondaries are in... Why give up the air brake. Fucking thing is still fast. You know how that thing slowed down before you popped the plates out? You know how shitty you left the ground with the subs in kind of lag behind.

This is the sort of apathy that has seriously put me off Kawasaki. I can't seem to find a single Kawasaki dealership that seems to care about winning my business or even pretending like they give a shit.

My local Yamaha dealership treats me like royality and I've never bought a single bike from there. Care to guess what brand I'll buy next?

It is indeed unfortunate that your particular Kawi dealer treated you so poorly regardless of the fact that there is absolutely nothing Kawi Sales Reps can, could, or would be able to do anything about the lack of information provided by the parent company. i.e. They had nothing to sell you. Since you seem to have a lack of understanding these simple economics and very little patience - I for one am glad that you won't have the pleasure of owning the Connie. Take heart in knowing that I'll have mine shortly.

You crack me up. It's not like there's only one Kawi dealer out there for me. Here's a neat little thing about mass produced 'things', like motorcycles: it's *always* a buyer's market...
