The look of the glovebox fascia looks somewhat cheapish. Ie; flat black, not paint matched to the fuel tank. If they are going to go forward with the design, I'd recommend paint matching it.

Having never seen the bike in person I cannot comment on things like fit and finish. What I do see in the pictures is Kawi missed the boat with this bike that is in those pictures, much like they did with the 12R, close but no cigar.

You know, I *almost* took the bait. I *almost* cut that little comment up and fed it back to you. Can you please let me know what part of that is 'reasonable suggestion'?

I have to chime in here because I am partial to the looks of the 12R, as in I love the way it looks, from 2000 - 2005. If the 12R is not quite good looking to you, Ozzy, then what bike do you cosider good looking? I'm just curious.

Hold on a minute guys, I am not complaining about the 12R looks.
I DID say fit and finish is something I couldnt comment on because i hadn't even seen a pre release bike.
I was saying that the Connie 14 is late just like the 12R was.
the 12R wasn't as refined as most people were hoping for, it didn't perform as well as expected based on all the pre release hype, clutch wasn't up to par, fuel injection wasn't fine tuned, etc. In other words it looks like Kawi is missing the boat again with the Connie14.
None of these things are easily fixed as fish originally asked about. If I could offer a suggestion or two to Kawi, it would be in another thread, Redesigning the Connie 14

I'm glad that you cleared that up, Ozzy and I do agree. It took KHI 4 years to get it right with the 04-05 12R's and they should have gotten it right from the beginning. I hope that this is why the Concours is being so delayed because they don't want to make the same mistake again. Since there is no rush to be the fastest, they should not rush an unfinished product into the market. Only if the Connie is all it's supposed to be wil I be getting one. If not, it looks like a Corbin seat, Helibars and adjustable footpegs for my 12.

Hope something happens quick - some folks are so desperate they post up in ZX14.com about installing "backrests and luggage" on the ZX14 bike.
