Seat height

Does anyone have any idea of the seat height for the new concours. They probably made them for tall people. I will buy one if they have a modest seat height.

Considering the source bike, the ZX14, has a moderate seat height of 800mm, it should be the same

seat height

I don't ride my 750 turbo at all. But when it was bought new back in 1984 i just made sure that when i stopped anywhere i could get my sidestand out. When i do sit on the turbo in the garage i can't remember the seat height being so tall, young and foolish i guess. I had a bmw r1100rt for a while but that had an ajustable height seat and i had to watch where i stopped, but i drive a voyager 12 which is really low. I have a zx12 that i drag race but is all lowered so i can flat foot. Maybe in my next life i will come back a little taller.

seat height

A friend of mine here in Canada sells Kawasaki motorcycle and he is going to the kawasaki show at the end of the month and i told him to find someone my height and put them on the new concours and see how far he or she is from the floor, because there is no specs on it yet. It looks like they didn't put heated bars on it like the bmw. I wonder if there will be a rear trunk available for it or if you have to go to a givi or other brand?

Seat height can be adjusted slightly with a custom, say like a Russell,Bill Mayer etc. But they can only do so much within the perameters of the seating area.

Do you think, given that the basic frame arrangement is the same, that the seat height is going to be radically different from the ZX14?

Maybe if it is about an inch or so lower i will be able to drive it. If not maybe a corbin seat or lowering links.

You could always lower it some; there are some adverse effects, but it may be an option.

I don't mind my ZX-10R lowered front and rear at all; matter of fact makes it so much more managable at crawling speeds and accelerating out of the hole while control is far better .. in short I would not have it any other way...

but I know it's one of those things people can be picky about...if I was very short I would not care to be picky and just have fun with a lowered bike.... an option anyways.. a good option over not riding at all .....
