Steve, you trying to tell me that the suspension on the newest 600RR or R6 isnt adjustable enough for you???? Man, the aftermarket stuff of 10 years ago isnt as good as the stock stuff nowadays! And I completely agree with the newer Honda 600RR. Just add a couple things like adjustable rearsets and the standard boltons and it will leave you regretting you waited as long as you did to get it!

All the factory suspensions are crap for the track. Thats no secret at all. The R1 I had adjusted for the street, but of course if I put that bike on the track it'll have a ton of suspension work done to it.
Horsepower on a track is useless compared to suspension.

Will be interesting to watch this bike when it starts to compete,and see how it does against the major manurfacturer's...

I thought KTM is a major manufacturer? I guess it depends on how one defines "major"

what i was saying is a major maurfactuer in fields which this Rc8 is going to compete in ie road racing,track racing ect aginst the likes of Honda a Ducati in motogp,wsbk.....hope this has cleared up what i was getting at.

I think I see an adjustment eccentric in the rear suspension link for ride height? Nice touch.
Ugly plastics up front, but, I'd like to take one for a fang.

Anyone heard anything about the R model they have coming to qualify for entry into the World Superbike Series? Those Akrapovic Mufflers runs $5500 here, phew only muffler without header pipes run $3000,I hope the original header pipes will fit.......

They had these at the AMA Superbike races at Mid-Ohio a few weeks back. Apparently on Thursday of race week that had an outing for motorcycle journalist. The bikes look great in person. The white is definitely better looking than the orange. They did have one "race" model ($10K more)that was really nice: carbon fiber body work, Ohlins suspension, Marchesini wheels, improved Brembo brakes, full exhaust which included an f1 style trumpet that sat flush with a carbon fiber lower.
The bike felt very comfortable to sit on...reminded me of a gsxr 1000. Hopefully it performs.

street wise rather expensive i think they might have missed the meatball
on the pricing 15k nutz on
yet there are more expensive bikes out there
