Okay I will give it a chance, but as you can see I was correct in my statement about this board.
But for the people who like bikes. This is one of my old race bikes that I have been wanting to make a street bike out of for over 30 years. A few years ago I bought a KLR 650 doner bike, but there was no way the motor was going to fit. So after much more research I found a WR 450 donor bike and finished the project.

I only restored the paint. It had been exposed to some chemicals and in horrible shape. A couple of years ago I began restoring it. It was originally done by a guy named Greg Flowers, a very talented artist.
I have already put 1800 miles on it. The only problem was the fiberglass tank began to break down and I had to use Caswell sealer and do some repairing and repainting.
But other than that...flawless.
Here is what I started with.

Steve as for riding it. It is geared for about 100, any lower you can't keep the front wheel on the ground in 1st or 2nd, even tiny bits of throttle would wheelie. I found out the hard way. Now the gearing is perfect, you can ride it at 70 and it isn't revving too high. The best part it is a riot to ride around town. People go ga ga, when they see it. People who know what a flat tracker is really like it. Riding the C14 or the ZX10 around town is not all that much fun, they need room to breathe. But this thing is really fun.

Every one of those custom parts was fabricated in my garage.
I absolutely love riding the thing. Just gas it and the front wheel goes skyward, really fun coming out of a corner. The problem is cops have no sense of humor about wheelies. None.

Very nice work Ted; I mean for someone who picked Obama for prez you have lot's of talent...

Nice choice for the engine...it has to rip....be fun to have a bike like that....I understand about the police being too picky about wheelies...they are the same way around my stomping grounds..... I aim to keep it down aside from some fun at the local back roads or the track.....

Nice project!!
