I've supported the AMA most of my life, but after watching whats going on these days I may not renew. Just an improperly mounted tag in FL is over a $1000 fine with the new laws here.
Other states and municipalities are passing crazy laws, axing bike weeks, closing lands, tightening fuel emissions to the point half the bike is exhaust system and a heat monstor, etc etc etc
I guess the AMA is sleeping, and we're on our own to submit petitions, cry to politicians and such.
I'm trying to figure what incentive it was for me to renew last time
Read it again Steve, your boy George was in office when it was enacted, cant blame this one on Barry.

It's amazing how long it takes some people to wake up, socialism has taken over long ago. You are not smart enough to decide for yourselves, get used to it. Whether it's george or insane hussein we're fucked. The writing was on the wall and it was ignored in the interest of easy living, govt. handouts & false safety. The sheep are always the first to be eaten, be prepared, you are the main course. Let anarchy rule, bring it all down!

...okay....lets assume that bush and clinton started this mess....and lets assume that obama wants to complete it...and lets assume that we're closer to completing this mess and will be faced with all that a communist state has to offer...and lets assume that we'll all be driving k-cars and, if there's a few extra bucks left, mopeds...and lets assume that NOBODY can take home more than $8.10 an hour and that anything earned after that goes to the govt. no matter how hard you've worked for it...and lets assume that we will not like that way of life...
...so what are you going to do about it?...no matter whose fault it is, are you going to be like a moth to a flame?...or are you going to be a fire extingiusher?...we can bash each other's party affiliations and how we voted all we want, but in the end it'll be up to us to effect true change of direction either by voting people out or armed revolt if needed...
...in the end I think there will be more armed cops and military people who will side with unarmed conservative citizens to effect change than there will be robotic cops and military who will side with a few armed communist liberals and unarmed soft-bellied mouse-saving tree-hugging wishful thinking liberal sheeple....

Enuf with the Chicken Little Hysteria
Youall need to relax. Barack is no leftwing socialist...On the contrary, he is going out of his way to include the Republicans and getting bitch slapped along the way.
I wish he was a bit more left leaning. From an economic perspective, if the wealth had been spread around a bit more evenly in this country, over the last 30 yrs, most of us would be using real wages, and not home equity loans to get by.
It was unfettered capitalism that got us into this mess. And whether you like it or not it will be government action that will get us out. Look at the case of Japan and Sweden recently. And the last time I checked, Japan is still a well of great technology and efficient production.
Now the ban on moto bikes is unfortunate, but don't blame the dems, or some dark socialist conspiracy for this one.

I dunno man, I hope common sense prevails.
I really am shocked that it got this far...but should not be surprised. I long ago lost faith in the AMA.
I sure hope the politico's realize the harm that this ban can do to the economy. I mean if they are really concerned about the heath of kids...the FDA should ban half of the shit on supermarket shelves. But thats another story.
I will be taking action, and I hope everyone who wants to see their grandkids riding also do something.

Well said GTMan; Both posts.
And fellas, I really hope we can get past this racial BS. As a black man myself living in Virginia, I've seen the ugliness and ignorance from "BOTH SIDES", and after a while, you realize how much of a waste of time it is. Turns out, people are going to be people no matter what color they are. You're gonna have your good, bad, and of course, dumb-asses.
Yes, I'm proud to see a black individuals do well and move up the ladder. Why? Because sense elementary school, teachers and counselors fed me and other black students the lie that we weren't going to be anything but a drug dealers or athletes . . . .that did drugs! LOL!!! Glad we proved them wrong.
If you actually make an effort to find facts, study America's real history, and find as much of the truth as possible, opinions will change, and there will be a true understanding and we just might get passed this bullshit.
Yes, I do think this Gov't is facked up! Yes, I do think that WE need to take more responsibility and stop letting politicians run our lives. Remember, all this shit that we're complaining about had been passed way before Obama was elected.
Remember that we gave George W. AND Congress the last 8 years to help cut the nuts off our economy. Nobody's given our current president even a MONTH. Let's not forget that we've been in a recession sense LAST YEAR!! Damn, what a pile of shit to step in!!
We hear about the bailout, but what about the trillions of dollars spent in recent and current war efforts?
Anyway, It's messed up what they are doing to the sport. I think that for the kids, these bikes are a real confidence booster with a fun factor that rises off the charts.
My question to others that have been around for a long time is, what makes people go after these machines so hard?

GHOSTMAN, where has "race" been introduced into this thread? Or are you bringing it in?
I can't seem to find it? The race card is off topic and BS as you said.

"Obama is a zero. Never ran anything, and has no comprehension of American Values. He is on a personal crusade for blacks..."
First page steve. He simply said what alot of you bashers believe. Let's face it, you guys simply lump that in as yet another reason to hate him- you just don't mention it.
Funny thing is that it all makes sense if you think it through. In a "truth is stranger than fiction" kind of way it all drops into place that Obama is the logical guy to right this economically corrupt place we find ourselves in.
Think about it: with all the stereotypes of black athletes, drug dealers, singers, etc.. who are notorious for throwing there money around stupidly and wastefully, to the point that when you mention "successfull black man" that image flashes through most peoples minds, that the man who comes in at the last minute to start the turnaround back to prosperity would be black- the quiter "other" type of successfull black man thats seen in boardrooms and banks.

Sticks, please exclude me when you're pointing fingers at the race BS, thanks for explaining where the comment is located.
Again race is so far off topic, again folks on both sides of the race card love to bring it up and savor it.
