According to Akro 09 makes less power than 08,me no understand.

PEAK hp. The '09 is all about where the bike is used on the track throughout the RPM range. At least thats Yamaha's and Rossi's claim. Much better track bike right out of the box.

that exhaust makes the bike look a whole lot better! beautiful! I may wait to see how it stacks up against the competition. Im curious about the horsepower difference between 09 and 08. I need to do my homework.

steve are you trading up? Or are you trying something different? hmmmmmm all of these bikes look good..... maybe these dealers will be letting them go for good prices because of the times we are in.

Im curious about the new crossplane motor and might bring one home,but I'll have to see
real numbers.The dyno charts I've seen so far show no torque or hp edge at any rpm.
I'll take Yammy at their word until March then check myself.

I'm just watching - I'm liking my bike and may add one to the stable if my career survives this economy, but I don't plan to sell mine

yea i'm wondering if the bike will live up to all the hype with the new engine design too?
