Wheel swap today!
It was a fun afternoon hanging out with the bike crowd at Velocity Moto - A friend and I swapped wheels. He's getting a powdercoat job anyway, I swapped him my "dark green" wheels for his black/red R1 wheels-
I put these pics in my R1 pic journal over in the R1 thread where all my bike's mods are kept for my records but thought I'd share the wheel pics here too

Thanks. No one at the shop today expected such a difference until the swap was done. I'm really pleased with how it came out

Nice ! The black wheels are much better. So did you also swap tires or are they new.

Yep, that black and red combo really pops out. Just wondering who took the loss in the tire department? I'm betting steve got himself a new set of tires to "wear in", too!
My good friend runs a shop outta his garage, and most of the time he's able to talk the noobs that have serious chicken stripes into letting him break there tires in for a day of riding. lol guys manages to ride more bikes than your average motorcycle magazine editor! And the noobs get to have tires with zero chicken stripes. Kinda (or more than kinda) cheesy, but it gets him seat time on all kinds of bikes.

Thanks guys, the pilot power 2CT's were almost new omn my green wheels, I had 'em moved to the red/black. I also kept my sprocket and rear carrier, although the rotors I was ok with keeping the other guys.

...I bet if he powder-coated the rearsets, brackets, rear-passenger pegs/stay, body nuts, chain adjusters, and swingarm axle the same color as the wheels it looked good that way, too...
