2009 V-Max released!
Pic here...
http://www.motorcyclenews.com/upload/210893/images/2009%20Yamaha%20Vmax.jpg
About 1800cc V-Four and 200 HP, supposed to be the best accelerating production motorcycle in the world, 9 sec and change 1/4 mile, and a low center of gravity. Looks like a huge rear brake and 6-piston up front, fuel tank under the seat, but no USD forks.
Imagine buying a stock Busa/ZX14/Literbike and getting ran through by this stock cruiser on your way home from the dealership, ouch.

what a tank, but then again they always look bigger in pictures. Like the concours 14 looks much larger in the pics.

Nice looking ride, headlight looks a little funky up front, then again, they all can't look as good as the 14....

Very interesting. The tach shows a 9500 rpm redline. If it really is an
1800, that would be something else. And 210 hp? Wow.
Throw a leg over it and your penis never felt bigger. Women sprout
balls just riding bitch on this thing...lol

How much does it weigh? The old Max was 600 lbs. This one will have to be heaver because the drive shaft will have to improve along with crank, tire, tranny, etc . 210 hp at 675 lbs is about a 3.21-1 ratio. 170 at 500 is 2.94-1 which is the 14. Numbers still favor the 14, add in aerodynamics, payload, just see a better tire burner.

I'll stick with my 99 max....for the wieght and the hp, so far none of the cruiser challengers are up for it. DOES handle like a brick. I'll be keeping an eye on it's numbers.

So 210 at the crank ...Knock that down to 170 at the wheel ... Take another 5 hp or so off for the drive shaft ... Soooo 165 HP at the wheel and it will weigh in at over 600 pounds !!!
NO damn way is it going to run with a stock zx14 ... I can see it just busting into the 9s with a light weigh pro jocky ....I can't wait till some bone head buys one and pulls up next to me and tells me he owns the fastest 1/4 mile bike in the world .. I'll be gone so fast he will need a telescope to see my tag ....
