2003 r1 front sprocket nut size
im changing the sprockets on my brothers 03 r1 and im going to have to borrow a socket to get it off. anyone know what size the nut is for the front sprocket? it would save me a bunch of guessing.

wish I could help you, I have no clue off the top of my head. I could go dig the sockets out and take the cover off. but two minor probs with that
1 thats worse than guessing and you having to buy a whole cheap set of metric sockets
2 my bike is an '08
you may want to simply call you dealer or borrow a few sockets, maybe one of the folks that wrench all the time will know off the top of their head, bikes are only about fun for me

thanks steve, i actually havent had time to mess with it yet, ive asked just a few people and i havent found anyone that has metric sockets that big... if you were to guess what size would you guess that it would be? i honestly have no idea.

I would guess at "12" but I may be wrong. Spoil yourself and get a set of sockets
