Sweet pic. That Italian bank has sponsored them since the 2006 season.
The R1 exhaust on the undertail everyone thinks looks so cool does, but more importantly Yamaha did that to protect it from damage if the bike goes down on the track.

Ya you know what, I've been cheap and put race baffles in my mufflers for now. (It 'sounds" great! LMFAO).
Will gut the cats and reweld the titanium Y pipe soon. WTF am I doing all that for???
I know all the effort is for nothing and it'll have a graves yamaha or an akropovic (which I think is in the pic above) full exhaust anyway!

Hey, at least your experimenting and having fun.  Yeah, that's Akrapovic on there, and a LOT of other SBK teams as well. It's the pick for your beautiful R1 I'd say..............

Yanno, I never owned a Yamaha and was so hesitant to buy this one. Never was crazy about Yamaha bikes at all. But the litre bikes are so close and its the only brand I haven't owned from the big 4, so I figured wtf.
And I am so please with this bike its crazy. I can see me keeping this one around for a while if it holds up.
