The new R1 looks good. Evolution is the route Yamaha has taken with the last 3 or 4 models.
Still, curious about the new specs. There have been rumors about some unique performance enhancements. Will have to wait and see.

The frame looks like a copy of the zx14.. It goes over the top like the zx14. I guess Kawi had a good idea...

The rear fender appears to be set up to be immediately REMOVED with no hassles.... unlike the ZX6R this year with the funky tail light going on

Very trick intakes on the R1. It has variable height velocity stacks. This puppy is dripping w/ motogp.

I love it when the new sport bikes come out. So much anticipation. The new R1 is sexy as hell, they always are. Will it's performance finally match it's looks?

Isn't Yamaha the first to come out with the (no throttle cable) think i read in mag. computer driven throttle responce,for less slap/Quicker response to throttle bodies/better mileage?

I would still choose a GSXR 600 first then the R6, then the new honda 600, then kawasaki. just my 2 cents
