They just chuck on a new rear sprocket, although I had some trouble on mine shifting between 2nd and 3rd. Bob, the mechanic out in Ducati took a look for me.
Replaced broken spring, drained oil, removed filter, found other small piece of spring that was missing in filter. replaced gear selecter fork (nothing wrong with the old one, just had some slight scratches on it) new filter, new oil. Two new torque screws for fairing aswell.
All under warrenty.
Sprocket takes 20-30 mins max.
Do you have high km's/miles on yours, cause they could do the chain at the same time.

about 10K on it... chain is still good and have to say bike has been rock solid... no complaints

Same here,
only complaint would be the damn screws used to hold on the exhuast heat shield and the fairing keep undoing and falling off
