Canadian Dealer from Stickied maintenance article up to more BS...
one of the dealers in the article stickied re: 1098 maintenance ("John Valk Ducati") is up to even more BS.. check this out from a local Canadian forum...

quote: So turns out to battle the fact that they're completely gouging the consumer in price they've done something new to make everyone hate them. Any bike purchased in the US (I have a 749 that was brought up) now costs double to service than a bike purchased in Canada. Yeah that's right, a 1k service at John Valk costs me 2k. The bikes are the same, only difference is mine was originally from Ducati Seattle. Wow... just wow.
Isn't there a law against stuff like this???

many manufactures are doing this its really not new. the part that is new is that way way more people are buying vehicles from the states.
talking to a friend who runs a local dealership I kinda got the feeling that it was the manufactures that are the problem and not the dealers.
someone needs to challedge this in court

I'd be willing to bet that this is highly illegal.
