"Dan Kyle" PC-III
OK - big HUGE thumbs up for Dan Kyle. I just got off of the phone with him and let me say this, he is a GREAT guy to deal with on the phone and he seems SUPER supportive - not to mention he has one HELL of a deal on the "Dan Kyle" PC-III. Let me break down what he told me. Dan currently has a custom PC-III for 1098's with FULL termi exhausts. This PC-III is NOT the standard one that you can order from Power COmmander. The advantage to his PC-III is that it is programmable below 5250 RPM and 19% throttle. The "regular" power commander available directly from powercommander is NOT programmable in this area. On most of the 1098's that I've seen (including mine) the low down RPM's are EXACTLY where you need to adjust the fuel/air, as the stock/slipon/full termi maps are WAAAAY to rich. This makes for horrible on/off throttle response and generally poor driving below 4K RPM. Dan does not yet have a map for a 1098 with the Termi slip ons - he just hasn't made one yet. The key to his PC-III is that the O2-sensor is unplugged from the system (no the stock ECU wont work) and that he has an appropriate map built for you. I was planning on upgrading my system to a full system this fall anyway - so I'll DEFINATELY add the Dan Kyle PC-III to that upgrade. OH! I almost forgot - the price is unreal!! 259 bucks or so!!! From what I understand from people that have this PC-III setup, it comes fully mapped (you just plug it in) and it REALLY helps lean out and smooth out the map. OK - Dan if you read this, if I got anything wrong I appologize, but I wanted to get the word out to people who don't know what a terrific product you offer!!!
