Well, the point of the post was "I WASN'T DOIN 82 MPH!!!! And this asshole was going to ream me with unwarranted tickets if I didn't give him the PBA card. Suffolk PD has gotten a grant funding these overpaid underworked cowboys to arbitrarilary do "Safety Stops" and check motorcycles for complying with equipment codes.

What's a "PBA card"

Naww too late we already thread jacked you. lol. seriously, though, Oak Harbor, Whidbey Island local paper published a study showing that we had more police "coverage" than any other city in the U.S. back in 1997 or 98. There was something like the equivalant coverage of having 1 out of every 5 residents being a cop. Half the cops were staters and sheriffs that didnt live there, they just went there to generate revenue off the squids (the original 'squid' is a sailor, but, since sailors act like idiots when young and in port on motorcycles they now refer to idiot motorcyclists as 'squids'). Half the DUI's in our town were guys BELOW the limit of .08%. Cops lied and said they were "impaired" if they blew over .05%. Never got me, but 20 sobriety checks in 1 month my first month on swings. I actually went to City Hall and lodged a formal. WOW cops chill out when you do that, like a groin punch aimed at THERE paycheck. Of course, they knew who I was and had been trying to bust me for awhile, seems they don't like it when you challenge and beat all your tickets. Seriously, go to City Hall and file a formal complaint, and/or go to a Counsel Meeting and air it. Takes time outta your day but the repercussions, especially if you have a signed petition from fellow motorcyclists, can only benefit you for years to come. Don't deal with the dogs, deal with the guys holding there leashs. We can vote 'them' out.

A "PBA Card" is a Police Benovelent Association card that officers up here are issued . They give them out to family members with their cell#'s & badge #'s with the hopes that when presented to the stopping officer he/she will show alittle respect. As opposed to the normal "Scumbag" behavior that the S.C.P.D. is so well known for.

As far as what you just wrote. You said it! I WILL take it to the next level . I appreciate you puttin' it into such a straight forward manner.Because we can bitch on the internet till we're blue in the face & it won't get us anywhere!

On December 2nd 1988 two Suffolk County Police Dept 2nd precinct narco detectives beat me into a coma.
They fractured my skull and broke 12 of my ribs.
You wanna talk Scumbag behavior from the SCPD?
I was there man, long before Rodney fucking King.

Why they beat me is not important, the fact that they did it in front of 32 witnesses is all that saved me from 3-5 upstate.

Ray - wrong place at the wrong time or did you have it coming? I've seen cops do both sides of that coin in person: though IMO they always seem to explode and step over the line on the wrong people. Almost like they are scared of beating down a serious bad dude so they pick on someone else who reminds them of that bad dude.

My buddy actually gave me a PBA card and the mini badge with number to pin to my jacket.

Haven't had to break out the card yet but when I do happen to talk to PO, they always talk to me differently, especially when they see the badge!
