Hi Wormie,

Yeah I had a 2003 model 998 bip, I absolutely loved that bike, stunning shape fabulous noise and great handling. Lack of a garage forced the sale (had to make room for the 1098s) I find the fueling on the 1098 very smooth compared to the 998 in fact the 1098S far eclipses the old 998 in every way bar one. I felt that my old 998 had a soul, we kinda understood each other, she (I nicknamed her the mistress) would let me know if I was overstepping my skill levels very gently, I'm a little afraid the 1098 may just rip off my head and shit down my neck for fun.

though I must say the traction and brakes in the wet are sublime on the 1098, and it is easier to go slower in traffic on the new bike.

Cheers
Reggie
