Hidden Menu for Switching from Imperial to Metric and EXVL (Exhaust Valve) trim...

Figured it out....

With the key off, hold the "mode" button up, turn the key on holding button in up position....

This presents you with a few cool menus... first one ("UNIT") lets you select between USA/UK/EU/CND (assuming this only effects readout units/imperial-metric? not ecu maps?)

The EXVL option controls the exhaust valve... I assume the EXVL value determines when the valve closes so the bike can pass EPA noise tests.... any ideas on adjusting the value trim? turning the valve off altogether if you just don't care?

"REPR" option is to adust the code to really mess up your immobilizer

How do you get the computer to lock in the change?

Here's what I tried doing.

1) access menu
2) hold down menu down button to access EU/UK/USA/CND
3) scroll to CND

haven't figured out how to lock in CND. (haven't read the manual either)

any suggestions?

Thanks.

P.S. just picked up yellow 1098!! waiting for canadian waiting period to expire (import from US). made mistake of picking up bike on friday. now have to wait extra 2 days. UGH!!

It accepts the change automatically if you follow the instructions correctly.
